What is Steel Hand
Steel Hand training is a specialized form of training that develops the hands, fingers, wrists and forearms so that they can deliver devastating blows without injury to them. In addition the blows are administered at high speed with effortless force.
Learning Steel Hand
Whilst Nei Jia, Steel Hand is developed much sooner than most methods such as iron palm. We put a strong emphasis on discipline. We do not want to give the impression that it is easy and that steel hand will just happen. It is not recommended for the weak minded but rather for the people who want something substantial to add to their profession or martial art. You are given a strict program to follow at home. So if you apply yourself the level of steel hand will be reached.
Does Steel Hand Need to be Trained Forever?
Is the conditioning lost if training is ceases? No, steel hand does not need to be trained indefinitely. Once developed steel hand will be retained for the rest of your life. You will save the power even if you stop training after you have achieved it. This is because train you from the inside out and develop what we call a “living way”.
Can Steel Hand be used for anything else other than Martial Arts?
Yes, steel hand training and the energy development associated with this can also be used by various health professionals such as massage therapists, physiotherapists, chiropractors and osteopaths. The increased flow of energy and chi can be transferred through the hand to promote healing.
How long does it take to complete?
Steel hand can take anywhere from 6 to 12 months dependent on the dedication and the practical understanding of the practitioner. Because the development is different for each individual, the results can not be rushed. There is no time limit set in place for each stage. Instructors will routinely asses the practitioner’s progress to ensure the quality remains consistent for all who undertake this specialised form of training.
What will my hand be capable of?
Steel Hand training develops the hands, fingers, wrists and arms so they can deliver devastating blows without injury to themselves. In addition the blows are administered at high speed with relaxed arms that give an impression of being made of flexible rubber.
The Difference
There are plenty of martial artists who can break tiles, bricks, boards and other hard objects. But there are not many people around who can break a piece of river rock with the tips of two normal looking fingers.
Nei Jia technique differs from other systems in the way its power is delivered. In demonstrations most hard objects are broken with fast slaps rather than the follow-through strikes and punches that are common with other styles.
Yet another difference lies in the fact that little muscle power is used. Strikes, slaps and punches are done with relaxed arms, as already mentioned. In action, the arms appear to be as resilient as rubber and almost as flexible. Two sources of inner power are involved: spring power and the use of centrifugal force.
"The relationship between spring power and centrifugal force is not easy to describe in words. To appreciate the speed and impact generated by steel hand you have to see it for yourself."
